We use no cookies
Neither ours nor anyone else's. No advertising cookies, no social network pixels, no sharing buttons that track you. That is why this site does not greet you with a banner covering half the screen.
What your browser stores
The language you pick, so we don't ask again, and your analytics preference if you change it. They stay on your device and you can clear them from your browser settings.
Analytics is always on
We measure visits with Umami, hosted on our own servers. It loads on every page without asking first, because it installs nothing on your device. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are any use, Article 6.1.f GDPR.
What it measures and what it doesn't
Page views, which site you arrived from, the country, and whether you are on mobile or desktop. Plus a few custom events, such as submitting the form or switching language. It does not store your IP address in the clear, assigns you no persistent identifier and cannot recognise you if you come back tomorrow.
How to switch it off
From the preferences link in the footer, at any time and without explaining yourself. That is the right to object under Article 21 GDPR and we honour it unconditionally. The data never leaves our servers and is shared with nobody.
